Communication & Teamwork

The experiences featured here reflect opportunities that have developed my communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills across academic and professional settings.

CATALYZE Commercialization Conference

I had the opportunity to participate in CATALYZE, an early-stage, "Shark Tank" style, commercialization pitch competition focused on turning research ideas into viable product concepts through concise, audience-facing business pitches.

As part of our team’s HOGNOSIS project, I led development of the business model and helped shape the presentation strategy, translating a technical swine disease surveillance concept into a clear, market-oriented pitch for an external audience.

Patent Technology Overview

Demonstrated advanced technical communication skills by analyzing and summarizing foundational patent research for Indigo Ag’s microbial endophyte technology. I distilled complex scientific concepts—such as systemic colonization and abiotic stress tolerance—into accessible formats for non-specialist technical audiences, delivering both a comprehensive written brief and a targeted visual presentation.

Literature Review on Spatial Multi-omics

As part of my graduate coursework, I conducted an in-depth literature review and delivered an executive-style presentation on the integration of spatial multi-omics in oncology. I synthesized data from over 12 high-impact, peer-reviewed sources to analyze how preserving spatial context in the tumor microenvironment can de-risk drug discovery. This project demonstrates my ability to translate complex, emerging biotechnologies into strategic frameworks for pharmaceutical R&D and investment decisions

Elysia Bio - Company Interview & Overview

Developed and delivered a professional presentation on Elysia Creative Biology, focusing on the intersection of Climate Tech and Animal Agriculture. A core component of this research involved a one-on-one interview with CEO Eli Hornstein to identify the "innovation-adoption lag" inherent in genetically engineered feed crops. The objective was to practice high-level stakeholder engagement and demonstrate an ability to synthesize complex regulatory challenges for a professional audience.
